The Freedom House Art Show and Sale is slated for Saturday, October 2, at the Princeton Elks Lodge. Artists are being sought for inclusion in the event. Only original pieces created by the artist will be accepted. All artistic media (i.e.: paintings, pottery, photography, metalwork, etc.) will be considered for inclusion in the show. No crafts will be accepted. The Freedom House Art Show and Sale Review Committee reserves the right to choose items for entry into the show.

Artists need to set prices on their own artwork. All proceeds will be donated to Freedom House to provide services for victims of domestic and sexual violence and their children. Participants will receive a donation slip for tax purposes appropriate to the value of the piece sold. Freedom House also reserves the right to keep all art pieces not sold for the purpose of selling these items on ebay. Artists are welcome and encouraged to attend the event and discuss and/or promote sales at their own booths.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and there will be a nominal charge for entrance. Hors d'oeuvres will be served, again with a nominal fee, and there will be a cash bar. Entertainment will be provided by Randy Starnes of Sparland, who plays the Native American flute and is the owner of Thunder Bear Flutes. He has crafted over 2,000 Eastern Red Cedar and exotic wooden flutes for more than 15 years. His flutes have been sold all over the world, and many of his Native American flutes are used in professional recordings.
