Tickets are now on sale for the New Beginnings Charity Auction for Freedom House, slated for Saturday, April 24, at The Wine Cellar, 432 S. Main Street, Princeton! Cost is $15 and includes a silent auction, wine and chocolate tasting and entertainment. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. Tickets available at Freedom House, 440 Elm Place, Princeton, or Citizens First National Bank, Princeton. Call (815) 872-0087 for more information. All proceeds benefit victims of domestic and sexual violence.

Raffle tickets are also available for a 14K white gold 26-diamond heart pendant. The pendant is worn on a 14K white gold 18-inch diamond-cut curb link chain. The exquisite piece is sponsored by Bruce Jewelers of Princeton, Doug and Jill Smith, Jim and Bette Themanson and Jerry and Nancy Spitz. Tickets are $5 apiece or three for $12. We are also raffling a beautiful House and Garden Heirloom Quilt, created and donated by Terry Johnson of Princeton, which will be on display at Citizens First National Bank's Main Office in Princeton next week. Tickets are $3 apiece or four for $10.

In other notes...

Daytime volunteers are also needed to help with babysitting, tutoring, donations, flier distribution and transportation. There are no training class requirements to help in this capacity.

The next Volunteer Training Class for this wishing to become medical advocates or assist in a direct service capacity is tentatively scheduled for April. The 16-week class will run from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Mondays.
